This year we want to strive for excellence in our Awana club so that all children and adults involved will grow in their walk with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.  In an effort to do that here are a few things that will enable us to achieve excellence:

¨     Study God’s word

¨     Attend all meetings and prayer/planning sessions

¨      If you are going to be absent, call your director or commander

¨      Attend annual leadership conferences

¨      Spend enough time preparing for weekly club meetings

¨      Become well acquainted with your clubs curriculum

¨      Ensure all the children are adhering to the rules of our club

¨      Keep accurate records of all the children’s progress and achievements in their handbooks

¨      Develop a personal interest in all the children in your group

¨      You, too, should complete the entrance booklet and handbooks for you club.  Recite your scripture to a fellow leader and have them sign your book.  The same rules apply to you that apply to the children.

¨      DIRECTORS: prepare weekly, monthly, and yearly plans for your club.  Refer to your director’s manual and the Awana website for ideas on crafts, field trips, contests, etc.
