Greetings in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!

All children are invited to one our five Awana Clubs and programs for young people three years old through high school.  Our Awana Clubs are:

Cubbies:   ages 3 & 4 (children MUST be potty trained!  NO EXCEPTIONS!)

Sparks:      Kindergarten through 2nd grades

T&T:           3rd through 6th grades

Jr. Varsity: 7th & 8th grades

J24/7:          9th through 12th grades

All clubs and programs meet weekly on Thursday evenings beginning at 6:15 p.m. at Shiloh Baptist Church.  Our Awana Clubs are part of more than 40,000 Awana Clubs, which operate around the world.  The international headquarters is in Streamwood, Illinois.  These church-sponsored clubs are open to all youth and have children attending from many different faiths and churches.  While your child is not required to attend the functions of our church, all of our church services and opportunities are available to your family.

An Awana Club meeting consists of three parts: games, achievements, and a Bible story time.  More than 30 trained adults are involved in our five clubs and programs.  While the church supplies our facilities and equipment, each clubber needs to bring dues of $30 per academic year.  This provides the cost of their uniform, books, awards, materials and team competitions.  If financial assistance is needed please see the club commander.

Each child will bring home an entrance booklet, which is the first step in Awana achievement.  We hope and expect parents/guardians to help their children complete this booklet in their first three weeks.  After completing the entrance booklet, they will receive an Awana uniform and handbook and will be eligible to earn more awards as a member of Awana.  The uniform will need to be worn each week to the club meetings.

At Awana, we want to work with you in providing balanced physical, social, mental, and spiritual activities for you and your child.  If you do not have a church home, we invite you to visit our church.  Our Dawn worship service begins at 7:15 a.m. and the Chapel service begins at 10:30a.m.  Sunday School meets at 9:00 a.m. at Carmen Elementary School located on the corner of South Ave. and McAllister.  There is a prayer meeting every Monday through Friday at 6 a.m. with additional meetings on Wednesdays at noon and 6 p.m.  We invite you to come as a visitor and leave as a friend.

In His Service,
