Men's Ministry

For a long time we have been praying about an authentic ministry to our men.  It has been the conversation that we have had with each other about, what are we going to do to get men involved and active to do one or two things, but nothing authentic materialized.  So we were right back where we started.

I am happy to say, however, that we believe very strongly that the Lord has put together a team of committed, dedicated, and Spirit-filled men who are willing to bring our hopes to fruition.  They have made up their minds that such a ministry MUST happened.  As a result they have made the first step in moving toward this desired goal.

These men feel that we have in our church a group of men that can make a difference; a group of men who want a closer walk with the Lord; a group of men who want to be better husbands, fathers, brothers, uncles, and friends.  They believe that God has called them to be the catalyst to energize, organize, Christianize, and utilize the men of Shiloh in ministry, and therefore actualize what the Lord has crystallized--men ministering to other men.

These men fell that with the proper motivation, information, inspiration, and vision, they can achieve this goal.  Therefore, they have put together a plan to reach this goal.  The plan begins with a free breakfast which was held on September 23, 2006, where we interact and fellowship to learn more about each other and about our spiritual, social, psychological and other needs.  A time to engage each other in authentic dialogue about what it means to be a man; what it means to be a Christian man; what it means to be a committed, Christian man; and what it means to be a consistent, committed, Christian man!

It is our initial goal that we will get to know each other better, and develop strong and vibrant relationships that will help us to be better Christian men, husbands, fathers, grandfathers, and friends; where all areas of our lives are edified, enriched and enhanced.  Thank you for giving the Holy Spirit and us a chance to minister unto you!  We need you!  God needs you!  Shiloh needs you!
