Nov 7-8  Women's Intreat - The Inaugural Shiloh Baptist Church Women's Intreat.  The Theme is Seasons of Life: Serving God for a lifetime, Ecclesiastes 3:1.   Friday, November 6 at 6:30 PM will be a meet and greet fellowship.  Workshops on Saturday will help women to focus and commit to serving God.  We are asking for a $25.00 assessment to help cover the cost of the food.  But because we feel it is so important for us to fellowship and grow, we encourage women who cannot afford the assessment to join us without the assessment.  We will have special programming for young girls.  We are asking for those who plan to attend to pre-register so that we may have a head count for attendance by Sunday, November 2, 2008.

Nov 08  W.H.O.L.E - 10:3- AM - Waukegan Holistic Organization for Life Empowerment board members will be held in room 106.  All current and past board members are encouraged to be be present.  Also, if you are interested in joining this ministry, please feel free to call Curtis, Pride, Sr., President.

Nov 09  Pancake Breakfast - 7:30 - 11:00 AM - Cub Scout Pack #805 and Girl Scouts Troop #6099 are sponsoring a Pancake Breakfast (All You Can Eat) at Shiloh life Center.  Cost Adults:  $5.00 and Children (under 12) $3.00.

Nov 15  Donors are a Gift of Hope - 6:00 - 8:00 PM - The Gift of Hope Network is hosting their National Donor Sabbath "Celebration of Life Musical" at Shiloh.  The celebration is designed to bring donor families, organ recipients, those waiting for transplants, and potential donors together to encourage them that they have the ability to make a difference.  The event is open to the public and FREE with no fundraising!  The celebration will include gospel music, praise dancers, and other activities.  Join us on November 15, 2008, 6 - 8 PM as we celebrate the Gift of Life.  For additional information contact Min. Nov 16  Annual Men's Day Celebration - The Annual Men's Day celebration service is scheduled for both services.  Three rehearsal sessions have been planned for the men's Choir (Tuesday Oct 28 and Nov 11 at 8:30 PM and Saturday Nov 15th at 3:30 PM.  We highly encourage all male age groups to attend whether you sing or not, come on anyhow and let the Lord have His way! 

Men of Shiloh are asked to donate $165.00 (i.e., $100.00 church scholarship and $65.00 men's assessment) per year to Men's Day.  See Deacon Kelly for questions.

Nov 16  Guest of Ebenezer missionary Baptist Church - 3:30 PM - The church will be guest of Ebenezer in Zion, Ill for Pastor John McBride's Anniversary.  Pastor Francis will be preaching and all officers are asked to serve in their various capacities.

Nov 17 - 20  Theresa B. Stackhouse School of Christian Education - 6:30 PM - Do you know your spiritual gift(s)?  Are you aware of the gifts you've been given by the Holy Spirit but aren't sure how to use them in the body of Christ?  The Theresa B. Stackhouse School of Christian Education is pleased to announce the offering of the course DISCOVERING YOUR SPIRITUAL GIFT(S).  Pastor Hilliard C. Hudson of Pilgrim Baptist Church of South Chicago will instruct the body of Christ on this vital topic from 6:30 PM to 9 PM.  The course is open to all teens and adults; there will be pre-teen classes for anyone 12 and under.  Childcare will also be available.  This course qualifies for credit in the Certificate of Progress Program (COPP); students attending 10 hours will receive a course card.  There is a $10 registration fee and $15 material fee.  The Dean for the Theresa B. Stackhouse School of Christian Education is Ann Adams. 

Nov 27  Thanksgiving Day Morning Service - 7:00 AM - On Thursday we will have Thanksgiving Morning Service.

Dec 07  Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church - 3:30 PM - On Sunday, we will be the guest of the Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church, Waukegan, Il for their 56th Church Anniversary/Mortgage Burning Celebration.  Pastor Francis will be preaching and all officers are asked to serve in their various capacities.

Dec 14  Christmas Dinner - Shiloh's Christmas Dinner will be on Sunday.  There will be no charge to members and guest(s).  Members will receive first priority and may pickup their tickets on November 16, 23, 30th.  Tickets for their guests may be obtained on December 7th.  Everyone must  have a ticket to enter the Family Life Center.  A registration table will be set up in the vestibule for this purpose. No tickets will be disbursed after December 7, 2008.

Dec 28  Basketball Tournament - Men 18 years and over, sign up now for the Shiloh Baptist Church winter basketball tournament.  Registration begins on November 12th through December 28th, 2008.  The league will be 7 teams comprised of 9 members per team.  The cost per team is $295.00 or $33.00 per player.  The games will start in January 2009.  For more information see Min.
