Children and Youth Ministry (CYM)
Goals: To be a Christ Focused Ministry that Develops Christian Character, Growth As a Citizen and Career-Wise.
Proverbs 22:6:
"Train up a child in the way he should go and when he is old he will not depart from it"
Isaiah 54:13:
"And all thy children shall be taught of the Lord, and great shall be the peace of thy children"
Ephesians 6:1-4:
"Children obey your parents... Honor thy Father and Mother ... That it may be well with thee...And ye fathers provoke not your children to wrath..."
Reorganized from the Baptist Youth Fellowship (BYF), in September 1996, the Children & Youth Ministry (CYM) was the vision of Pastor Walstone E. Francis to reach all children and youth ages 5-24. Lead by Perry Kelly, the Coordinator position was passed on to Minister Warren Thomas who oversees the program currently. The meeting were on Thursday at 6:30-8:00 p.m.
In the past the CYM researched, studied and applied the teaching of Evangelism, Missions, Worship, Fellowship and Discipleship.
Application of these five major Biblical topics included:
> Nursing home visits Oratorical Contest
> College Tour Soup Kitchen Service
> Youth Expressions Youth Revival
> Youth Praise Dancers Purity Ceremony
> Worship with other Christian Bodies Forming of a Girl Scout Troop
> Sponsorship of youth missionaries Week of fellowship/Spiritual/Fun activities
> Writing letters of encouragement to sick and shut-in
Our present CYM has added AWANA. AWANA, based on 2 Timothy 2:15 Approved Workman Are Not Ashamed, is doctrinally sound bible-centered youth ministry. It will begin on April 16, 2003 and continue to meet on Thursday, 6:30-8:00 p.m.

Learn about God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit. To allow the Triune God to guide us in our development and prepare our minds and hearts for the Masters Service and Glory
